J's Racing Type V Aero hood for the 2017+ Civic Type R FK8 features hood ducts that drastically improves the dissipation of heat and is very effective in lowering water temperature, oil temperature, and intake air temperature. The hood bump over the induction area provides better air flow volume to the air box. Fitment is very good, similar to OEM. Mesh is made of aluminum. Water protector option is great for rain/damper weather climate zones - installs and removed by using plastic pop rivets. Both Mesh and Water Protector can be done at the time of order. The stock hood hooks are utilized with this product. 

The J's Racing Aero hood is an instantly recognizable design for all Honda and Acura applications. Featuring a wide opening for cooling, the hood is made to withstand high speeds on the circuit or just looking cosmetically beautiful.

J's Racing CFRP hoods are made with one piece of carbon cloth. There are no seams in the carbon whatsoever, ensuring the most visually pleasing and strongest product. A clear gel coat is applied afterward that contains protection from harmful UV Rays to ensure the carbon stays the same beautiful finish throughout its life. Each hood is coated by a professional fiber craftsman, ensuring it is the best quality you can get!

The hood structure features an under skeleton made of FRP and a top skeleton constructed of CFRP for maximum rigidity. This suppresses hood movement at high speeds and ensures the hood is always locked down and safe. With fittings built in to where the hood attaches to the body of the car, you can rest assured that the hood is attached firmly.

  The FRP rain protector prevents rain drops from entering into the engine bay. The clip-on installation is easy without the aide of any tools.

• Compatible with the stock hood hooks. Mounting hardware included
• Please re-use the stock windshield washer nozzle and hose with the clips included in the kit
• Painting is required for full FRP hood
• Clear coating is recommended for CFRP hood for long life durability
• The hood is compatible with the stock hood hook for street driving.  However, J's Racing recommends use of hood pins for high speed racing situations.
