Since J's Racing started selling this hood, it has been one of their absolute best sellers. With more than 500 pieces sold, the J's Racing Type V hood has proven to be one of J's most desirable items.

Having been used by 8 race teams on the Japanese Super Taikyu endurance series, the hood received nothing but praise for its excellent performance. Not only does it provide an aerodynamic advantage, but the ducts also drastically improve engine bay temperatures. Proven effective at lowering water, oil, and intake air temperatures, the J's Type V hood is perfect for the driver looking to get the most out of their Honda or Acura

The unique double structure of the hood features the exterior made in your choice carbon (CFRP) or Fiberglass (FRP) with the skeleton being made in your choice of CFRP or FRP as well. This double structured hood ensures the Type-V hoods are just as strong as stock hoods. Stock hood latches can also be utilized, eliminating the need for hood pins for street drivers.

The hood was designed to accomodate the J's Racing Tsuchinoko intake system or Mugen Air Cleaner kit perfectly. No modification is required for either of these intakes, but may be required for other intakes.

The options for J's Racing Type V Hoods are as follows:

Carbon/Carbon: The exterior portion of the hood is made of carbon fiber. The under hood skeleton is also constructed of carbon. This is the option for the enthusiast looking for the lightest and strongest hood.

Carbon/Fiberglass:The exterior portion of the hood is made of carbon fiber. The under hood skeleton is made of Fiberglass (FRP). This is the option for the enthusiast who still wants a lightweight hood but may not want a full carbon hood.

Fiberglass/Fiberglass: The exterior and under hood skeletons are both made of Fiberglass (FRP). This option still remains light and aerodynamic, and may be the ideal option for those on a budget or for those who plan to paint the hood.
